Saturday, April 14, 2001: Our first stop on our trip was to visit the waterfall in Witchita Falls, Texas.  The park was very nice, but we felt a bit like the Griswolds in National Lampoon's "Vacation" arriving at a closed Wally World -- we got to the falls only to find that there was no water!  We suspect that the water had been blocked off due to nearby construction.

The water in the river was this color too, due to the red clay soil in the area.

We did catch a glimpse of the falls from the highway on our way home and the water was back on.
